Equipment required for work:

1. Power supply element.
2. A soldering iron to make replacing the battery in a gas meter even easier.
3. Rosin or soldering acid.
4. Tin. But the one on the board might be enough.
5. Sometimes you may need pliers, combination pliers, or wire cutters to cut the wire connected to the battery.
6. Knife.

After reviewing the inventory and some important information, you can move on to changing the device.

Step-by-step instructions for replacing the battery in a Betar 1.6 gas meter

Using a knife, carefully remove the paper seal. Be careful not to damage it in any way. If it's a sealed metal wire, it's best to leave it alone. Otherwise, you could get a fine.

Use a screwdriver to pry the case up using the special recesses, first from the top and then from the bottom. Set it aside on a table and proceed to replacing the battery.

Then, with a little force, pull the housing toward you and remove it. It's impossible to disassemble the Grand 4 gas meter without leaving a trace.

Now you need to unscrew the screw that holds the board in place and disconnect the battery from its holders. Then install a new one and screw everything back together. Basically, you need to follow the same steps as with the Betar 1.6 gas meter.

How to replace batteries in a SG-1 gas meter?

These meters have been manufactured since around 2014. Their design is fairly simple, so the battery is easy to replace. First, remove the cover, then unsolder the contacts and remove the battery. As usual, the seal will need to be removed.

After that, you need to take measurements of the old power source and look for a similar one online or at your local supermarket. It's best to look in the radio parts section.

Once you have the battery, continue to follow the instructions polarity, insert it into the device. Make sure to solder everything securely so nothing falls out. Then reattach the housing and enjoy the operation of the SG-1 gas meter. This is how the battery is replaced.
