How to connect an LED to a battery?

To connect the LED to the battery, simply use the diagram below.

Connection method according to the diagram

To make the LED glow, you'll need two batteries. It won't work on just one. Before connecting, make sure the LED is rated for the voltage you're connecting it to. Typically, this is 3 volts.

The image below shows a simple connection of this device to two button batteries.

Observe polarityRemember that an LED only allows current to flow in one direction. Connecting it incorrectly will prevent it from working.

A key, that is, a switch, can also be added to the given circuit.

When the consuming device is rated for 1.5 volts but can only deliver 3 or 5 volts, you'll need to select a resistor. This radio component is connected to either the positive or negative terminals.

Formula for calculating the resistor value using Ohm's law.

Calculating resistance

Thus, connecting an LED to a battery is quite simple!
