When connecting a diode to a circuit, remember that it only conducts current in one direction. Connecting it incorrectly will prevent power from reaching the device. The image below shows how to connect a light bulb with a diode. In this orientation, it will conduct current, and the load will work. If it's connected the other way, no power will flow, and the bulb won't light.
The picture below shows the LED connection and it lights up.
To implement this connection, you will need very little.
- 2 1.5 volt button batteries.
- Any diode in the circuit used is IN 5399
- Load: light bulb, motor, etc.
- Two wires.
As a result, the VD1 is connected to the battery quite easily. You can also include a switch in the circuit. Once assembled, you'll have a fully functional flashlight! 😊
