A netbook is essentially a miniature laptop with a small battery. It's very convenient to take on hikes and trips because it takes up little space. Netbook batteries are also made in small sizes. Despite this, their performance is in no way inferior to that of regular laptops.
Key characteristics of a netbook battery
Below are the parameters of a typical battery inserted into a miniature laptop computer.
Voltage – from 7.6 to 11.1 or up to 14.8 volts.
Capacity can reach 8000 mAh. Prices start at around 5000 mAh.
Cost – from 8000 rubles.
Operating time is 2-3 hours. For low-power processes, it can last 4-5 hours on a single charge, especially if it's new.
The type of electrolyte in a netbook battery is polymer Li-ion.
Weight – about 100 grams.
Dimensions: height 80 mm, width of two batteries combined is 121 mm. Dimensions may vary slightly by a few millimeters.
Country of origin: China, Korea, USA, Japan.
The netbook contains two large rectangular batteries. They are lithium-ion batteries. Their surface has a distinctive sheen. One end has contacts through which current flows to the motherboard and powers the entire computer. A label with technical specifications, including voltage, brand, serial number, country of manufacture, capacity, production date, and expiration date, is affixed to the battery case. A special barcode is also included for more detailed information about the netbook battery. A dedicated circuit board is installed to monitor the charge and discharge.
The netbook battery has 3 wires: red – positive, black – negative, and gray – neutral.
